Daemonhunters
I was just looking at the Daemonhunter models and a bit of the fluff behind them, and they look very cool. Since I haven't actually started salamanders yet, I could still collect them, and just gather a small 1000ptish army for the campaign next year. Any thoughts/comments on them?
My only worry is that I've heard rumours about them being kicked soon.

Re: Daemonhunters
I don't actually know who you are, it's been too long, but I'll tell you about Daemonhunters.
I used to play, notice the past tense there? Why you may ask? Simple:
Models are all metal, so incredibly expensive. Five men for over £20... This also then lacks conversion possibilities
Many rules are out of date, so dont look forward to up to date LR, etc. Then again, I play DA...
Points costs are pretty high generally, 25pts per GK and 50pts for a justicar, aka Sgt. It's costly, so every point counts.
Also, as you say, they are getting updated soon, so who knows whats in store for them?
If you really have your heart set on DH, then you could possibly consider the allies rule? Again, this is most likely going with their update.
Or you could just ignore all my advice and go for it anyway The choice is yours.
Thanks

You don't need to explain youself, all I know is you will quit Orks. I wouldn't recommend getting Daemonhunters, as like Jamie said, they are due for an update.

THis is moot. The Inquisition are most likely being released late next year. The Dark Eldar and the Necrons are next in line for a reboot. Expect the Dark Eldar sometime around the late autumn. Warhammer Fantasy 8th edtion is out in the summer, with Q4 releases rumoured to be 40k and 'fleet based'.

Re: Daemonhunters
WHFB 8th Ed. offers are already circulating, Ben. I got an e-mail the other day offering the 'Collectors Edition'.
Re: Daemonhunters
Exactly Jake. I mean after the massive release of the 8th WFB book, we have the rest of Q3 sales and Q4 to release new ranges. Dark Eldar are rumoured to be among them, or in January 2011.
